San Diego Zoo

Today we explored the world famous San Diego Zoo! 

We met Uncle Joe and the kids there for a day full of adventure!

Our first stop was the reptile house...lots of snakes and lizards!

 

Sophia was nose to nose with a yellow python...eek!

The kids' curiosity got the best of them as 

they search each enclosure for an animal.

Then it was off to the Children's Zoo... 

Lots of hands on fun and exhibits at the kids' eye level. 

Sophia interacted with a curious and very active river otter!

  

Our adventure continued as we made our way through the zoo...

There were lots of critters around for the kids to stop and meet!

 

The dolphin show was our first stop. 

Then it was time to feed the sea lions...

this Cattle Egret was pretty aggressive and 

stole a fish right out of Uncle Joe's hand!

Everyone smelled fishy when we were through...yuk! But fun!

 

Another satisfied customer!

Then it was off to our next adventure!

Turtle Reef was awesome! 

The kids could get a close look at these amazing creatures!

The Shamu Show...very cool!

While the cousins went on a big-kid ride, 

Sophia explored the tide pools...

and actually got to pick a starfish up! 

 

We ended our day with a visit to the Sesame Street kids area...
